| SOUTHBOROUGH YOUTH SOFTBALL 2011 SPRING SEASON OVERVIEW |
In 2011, SYBS looks forward to continuing the development of our softball program through our partnership with the Algonquin High School Softball team, as well as additional league play. We want to continue to make the program educational and fun, and have the girls learn about teamwork and good sportsmanship along the way! Spring Softball registration is open to all girls ages 6 to 15 (1st -9th grade). Farm League - Grades 1 and 2 (ages 7-8) Minor League - Grades 3 and 4 (ages 9-10) Major League - Grades 5 and 6 (ages 11-12) Senior League - Grades 7, 8 and 9 (ages 13-15) The spring season will begin in late April and run through late June. The game schedule will be coordinated in order to avoid conflicts with spring soccer. The league inter-town games will be played against the surrounding towns, currently including Northborough, Westborough, Shrewsbury, and Hudson. Fastpitch Clinics - We will also be offering a spring skills clinic and are aiming for a targeted pitching skills program. We are also planning to have program/introduction with ARHS Girls Softball.
