FALL BASEBALL & SOFTBALL PAGE
Southborough Youth Baseball and Softball is pleased to announce that Fall Ball registration is now open!

For the 2008 season, we will have the following levels of fall baseball and softball
:


Farm Baseball (New in 2008!)
Players ages 6-8 that will be eligible for "A" baseball in Spring 2009.


Minor Baseball
Players ages 8-10 that will be eligible for "AA" or "AAA" baseball in Spring 2009


Major Baseball
Players ages 10-12 that will be eligible for "Majors" baseball in Spring 2009
Major League fall ball will consist primarily of game play (with umpires) with Frozen Ropes conducting two special clinics during the
course of the fall.

Junior League Baseball
Players age 13 - 14 that will be eligible for Junior League in Spring 2009 (Registration system to be opened after team rosters are
finalized)
Junior league and softball will consist of game play while continuing to focus on preparing players for advanced levels of play.



Major Softball
Players in grade 5-6 that will be eligible for Major League softball in Spring 2009
Junior league and softball will consist of game play while continuing to focus on preparing players for advanced levels of play.


- Player Placement -
Player placement will be determined by SYB's standard player placement policy communicated earlier this season.
SYB will review all registrations to ensure that players are placed in the appropriate league level according to age, grade, and
summer ball team selection.


Frozen Ropes will again support our fall ball programs.  Frozen Ropes' involvement will primarily focus on our younger players

in the Farm and Minor league programs.  These levels of play will focus heavily on player skill development
in addition to some game play.


Most fall ball activities will take place on Sunday afternoon's beginning on September 7th.  
Junior league game play will occur on both Saturday's and Sunday's.
