| Congratulations Continues to our Southborough District 12 players and their coaches: Head Coach Ken Trehub and Assnt Coaches Erin Henderson, Marji Warfield and Gordon Wrin |
| Our 12 Year Old Williamsport Team has achieved the unthinkable by joining the Final Four in the Massachusetts state tourney tonight. The boys earned their spot with a hard fought 5-2 win over Braintree at Dean Park in Shrewsbury. Southborough joins Leominster, Newton West, and Peabody in the State tournament this weekend. The winner will advance to the New England Regional Tournament in Bristol, Connecticut the following weekend. Southborough will begin State Tourney play Thurs night at 7:45pm at Kelley Field (behind Coakley Middle School) at 1315 Washington St. Norwood. |

| At the other end of the age spectrum, the Southborough Americans - the 8 yr old team competing in the Ashland Sparkler tournament won their semi-finals game against Hopkinton (5-4) and played in the Championship Series (best of 3 games) against Shrewsbury this past weekend. They completed the best of 3 championship series - splitting games 1 & 2, and then going 8 innings in game 3 and ending in an 8-8 tie. They decided to end the game after 8 innings and declare both teams Champions. Congratulations to our 8 Year Old District Team! Way to Go! |

| Southboro 10 yr old district team finalists in District 5 The Southboro 10 yr old District team played in the District 5 finals game Sunday July 25th losing a tough battle to opponent Charlton 9-5. Congratulations to parents and kids on a successful summer with a record of 9-2 in district play and 3-0 in the Milford 10s tournament. |
| A few highlights from Tues night's game that are noteworthy: 1) 3rd inning solo Home Run by Nolan Kessinger to give Southborough a 1-0 advantage. 2) 4th inning two RBI single by Connor Henderson to put Southborough back on top 3-2 after Braintree grabbed a two run lead the previous inning. 3) 6th inning two run Home Run by Jack Harlan to give Southborough a 5-2 lead going into the bottom of the 6th inning. 4) Matt Trehub pitched a complete game 5 hitter with 10 strikeouts and no walks (87 total pitches) to earn the win for Southborough. |
